How often do you re-pitch your mixes after the fact?

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
So I mean no timestretching; old tape-style, re-pitch the mix up or down a couple of semi-tones, changing the ;length. I've been doing this a bit lately and like the results (except if vocals are involved).

There's a fair amount of "recent-itis" involved. If I'm getting bored with a track it can make stuff feel fresh. But sometimes I feel like it scratches an itch on tracks that aren't quite working for me. It can alter the tone in an unexpected and pleasing way, that I wouldn't have otherwise thought to actually produce.

Do you ever do this?

Noo
Dont!
changing pitch of a wave profile is never going to create a perfect result. If you need to 're-pitch' do it in LMMS even though it is a tedious process.
The correct way is ofcause to not have any need for re-pitching, so plan better, and experiment with different keys and scale before you make a song-idea into a real project

Besides that, since you are new in Forum
