Searching for A (Hopefully Free) Advanced Sampler (2025)

Questions about producing? Ask them here.

Hi all! The last thread about importing Advanced Samplers is quite old and is not longer up to date with current LMMS, so I am creating a new one. I hope this is proper forum etiquette... (We're new to this.)

I am looking for a sampler that actually works in LMMS. The previously mentioned post talks about:

  • Grace (not working)

  • TX16Wx (not working)

  • Shortcircuit (not working)

  • AudioFileProcessor (default, not advanced enough)

Or making your own soundfont, which is too complex for my current skill and not exactly what I'm looking for (I don't think).

I found these three links about VSTs but they are at least 5 years old.

Is there any updated information or sampler plugins that don't crash LMMS and actually save properly?

Thanks!
L.M.S. Nova

As new to LMMS and maybe also to DAWs in general(?) perhaps my video Rookie-guide can be useful for you. Link in my signature!

I am looking for a sampler that actually works in LMMS.

So have i and eventually i found Sitala. It is not a dedicated sampler, but a drum-rack, but it works fine as sampler. Its a bit weird to install so i made a video for it:

Welcome! Creating a new thread is great! Try Sforzando or Redux!
Hi L.M.S. Nova! It's great you're starting a new thread. For LMMS-compatible samplers, you might want to try "Sitala" or "Labyrinth." These options are more modern and stable, offering better performance than older ones. You could also try exploring newer VST plugins that are continuously updated. It's always worth checking LMMS forums for the latest recommendations! Good luck with your project! Managing multiple assignments can be challenging, especially when time is limited. In a similar situation, I always seek help from UKWritings to do my assignments. If you’re looking for a reliable service to lighten the load, https://ukwritings.com/do-my-assignment can help. Their team of skilled writers ensures your work is completed accurately and on time, allowing you to focus on other important aspects of your studies.

What is missing is a re-sampler. Sitala works as Sampler. I dont think Redux does resampling, and i have not tested it
A way-around would be a possibility to batch-convert a sample to a complete scale in one go, and then load each subsample. Dont know any program that can do that either.
