Auto random Notes?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Hey guys

I am currently working on an ambient track for a game.
I am using a textural pad from LABS.

The track right now is 10 mins long and consists of 1 Note.

I want to change the note up and down to get more variety but i do not want to
sit at my MIDI pressing 5 buttons for 10 mins :D.

So is it possible to do something like this:

Take the Note (C5 / 10 min long) and push it up and down in a random order. OR
Take the Note (C5 / 5 sec long) and replicate it again and again but in higher / lower notes and put them together.

I tried to automate the pitch and i tried using Vitals randomisier. Both did not work due to
changing the pitch will lead to a wrong result. I need other Notes to be played for the Textural Pad to
work and sound properly :).

Can you tell me a way to realize this if there is no function for it?

Unfortunately, no.
LMMS does not have any feature like that.
Random notes are somewhat useless, because you will not get anything remotely close to harmonic music, first and foremost because random notes wont be in scale!
What you get is kakaphony, that is hard for a listener to cope with
b..u..t..
Exactly that could very well be a feature in a videogame!
Gamedevs will sometimes aim at stressing the player most possible, and there it would be an effective tool!
But you want 10 mins of pads, not 'just' a couple of mins of terror in a tight situation.
Here i would say that you should compose your 10 mins, and not leave that to random.
10 mins of ambient music is such a feature i never would trust to random.
If i should be a bit harsh, i would call it disrespect for your own game, and the gamer..
I would watch the game and simultaneously make a suitable soundtrack.
If you still want to do this with random notes then i would do something like
* mute an instrument
* Set piano-roll Q = 1/192!
* Set note-recording on in piano-roll
* hammer away on your keyboard in scale just hitting random scale-notes and holding them in random time for about 2 mins,then cut that up in random fashion and paste it together randomly, until you have a 10 mins random 'piece'.
Did i mentioned features you dont know -Just ask again.

You could try the arpeggiator
That is a brilliant idea!
