OSX i cant say a word about, except OSX is WIP, in many aspects.

A fail in export in windows?
Are you using LMMS 1.2.1 ?
How much RAM do you have and what is the OS?
Besides that, since you are new in Forum

i'm using lmms 1.2.1 on osx and windows. ram is 16gb.
i don't think the problem is related to ram or operating system since its happening on osx and windows.

Midi-export is dodgy. The files are however not usually cut short.
Thank you for your demo!
if you have the chance please let me know what i can do
i've tried it on multiple machines and the midi file gets always cut off at exactly 50kb

i've just wasted weeks on creating multiple projects
the midi exporter seems to be completely broken

I dont know. I think our MIDI-export needs a complete redo.
The project you named 'crash' is very different from any project i have seen. What do you call this style of music?
I also had to change settings in your instance of watsyn. You have extremely bad clicks and pops, because you do not have set an envelope in watsyn. Add some attack and release, and you do not have all that distortion!
But MIDI-export, that is broken in 1.2.1
Thanks for your report.
thank you very much for looking into it.
i finally found a workaround to salvage things.
i export individual instruments (by deleting the rest) to keep the midi files smaller than 50kb.
i then merge these with a different program.

the file i sent is a bit strange since its not really music.
i use a midi2dmx converter box to sync a light show. the midi values are converted to dmx signals.
the band is already using the multitrack player LP-16 from cymatic for click tracks and audio layers.
this device can also play a midi track in sync which i use for the lights.
the whole thing allows for a really compact setup for the band without computers or anything complicated.

Hehe that was by thought: "This is something that controls electronics", but i wouldent say so, because i could be 'dissing' your composing :p
Its actually not 51 KB that is a general issue. I managed to export up to 72 KB, but definitively NOT with out problem! The export is horrid! And that is actually a serious issue for you, because both tempi and pitch are way off. I fear your sounds for controlling the electronics could be skewed, and then you could get issues.
Our MiDI export in 1.2.1 is not good. Afair MIDI export worked fine, when it was introduced.. I believe it was in 1.0, but i will have to dig, and then see what we have, and what we can do
