Have you installed LMMS 1.3 instead of 1.2.2? Go back and install the latter and check if it works.

Hey, I've faced this issue before and reported it. LMMS doesn't behave nicely with infiniband or modifiable band EQ and compressor. Using ReaEQ will also cause unusual problems. Worth noting that even with sampler VSTs, to do controlled pitch bend you'd need automation. Portamento non-synth samples, pretty unusual. If you find a sampler that does portamento or glide on samples please get back to us, it'd be a useful resource.
