They are just not cleared for redistribution as samples . Used in altered form in your derivative projects , they are ok to use, but not isolated in a project witch only purpose would be to re-publish these samples. That is not allowed ...

I have instantly benefited from what this instrument can do, and I hope my notes of my understanding so far can help others

Im sorry -I know nothing about MAC, but i am not aware of a bug on MAC that would cause your problem.
Could you try and do this:
Open sidebar | My-samples
Browse to: Drums
In that folder find CB_Clap
Drag that into Song-editor
Take a ...

When I try to add an audio sample, regardless its length, I will always get the length of the sample as 0ms. The extension is already .ogg, and I used AFP to open the sample. How can I fix this? I'm also new to LMMS, I'm just learning how it works.
